Common questions

Where do the lyrics come from?

The primary lyrics source is Fanforth’s own M6 database at lyrics.mitmon.com. Public LRCLIB is used only as a server-side fallback when the database has no usable result. Existing content credits are retained separately.

A song isn't being recognized

Play music clearly from another device, allow microphone access, and tap Start in Fanforth. If a call, Siri, or another recorder interrupts listening, return to Fanforth and start again. Some recordings may not be recognized.

Lyrics are missing or out of time

Lyrics depend on the recording and the provider's catalogue. Try another recording if no lyrics are available. For synchronized lyrics, use the timing adjustment to move the words earlier or later.

How do saved scenes work?

Free includes 10 saved scenes at a time. Delete a scene to make room, or get Fanforth Plus to keep more. Existing scenes stay accessible after Plus expires. Scanned shows recorded location geometry on supported captures; other Where choices remix the setting. No human figures are generated.

Restore or manage Fanforth Plus

Open Settings, then Fanforth Plus, and choose Restore Purchases while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. Manage Subscription opens Apple's subscription settings. One-Time Plus has no recurring charge. Recognition and lyrics depend on third-party services and catalogue availability. For billing and refund requests, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Delete history or iCloud data

Delete a play or scene in Fanforth to remove it. Settings → iCloud → Delete iCloud Data removes synced history, scenes, the private sync and deletion markers and any legacy public profile while keeping local copies. Keep sync enabled and reconnect to complete offline play or scene deletions. Apple subscriptions and device backups are managed separately in iOS Settings.

Control microphone, camera or location access

Open iOS Settings and select Fanforth to change permissions. Tap Stop in Fanforth to end microphone capture. Remember Where and iCloud sync are optional. Saving an exported scene requests add-only photo access; Fanforth does not read your photo library.
